As soon as Steven took me in as his athlete, I immediately flipped the switch and started taking my powerlifting journey seriously. His knowledge of the sport is one the reasons why I reached out despite how young he is. I knew just a few blocks in I was in good hands with the feedback I was getting from Steven. He understood the goals I laid out to him and from the beginning we’ve been striving towards those goals.

What I like about working with Steven: Quick and honest feedback when I send my videos in. If I have a question about my positioning or technique, Steven would send videos of himself explaining how he wants me to be when it comes to squat, bench, and deadlift. Stevens commitment to powerlifting motivates me to work hard every time I step into the gym. The mental check-ins are also a plus. Steven makes sure I’m right in the head and shows me that he cares and that it’s not all about powerlifting at the end of the day.

One of our main goals was to get my bench back to a healthy state. I came in with a shoulder impingement, limiting my bench to 155 pounds. I stayed positive and consistent with my training, now a year under Steven I can bench 300 plus pain free. Squat used to be stuck at 484 and now it sits at 500 plus. Deadlift has been the most humbling progress, it’s improved drastically and I’m thankful for the cues and changes Steven has made to make my deadlift better.
